When you wake up tired and sick, you want to get up
While Alexa is not a doctor and can not physically examine you, she can use the Internet and its intelligent features to make a diagnosis based on the condition you are describing. Not to mention that you can avoid these dreaded back payments and medical bills.
However, if you feel extremely ill or are suffering from an illness, you should not take Alexa as a substitute for medical care. This is how your Amazon Echo can help you if you do not feel well.
Get a diagnosis without visiting a doctor.
If you feel ill but are not sure if it's worth your while to go to the doctor, let Dr. A.I diagnose, an Alexa capability of HealthTap. Dr. A.I was trained by over 107,000 physicians with 141 specialties. Once you have described the symptoms, you will try to find medical explanations that are tailored to your age, gender, medication, and more. After the diagnosis, the bot offers to connect you to an actual doctor.
To enable this, open the Alexa app> Menu > Skills & Games > search for Dr. med. A.I > tap Enable Use . You can create an account with HealthTap when you sign in through the Alexa app. This is not necessary. When done, just say "Alexa, open Dr. AI".
Note that this is not a real doctor. If your condition persists, you should consult your local doctor.
Alexa can order OTC medicines for you
If you have a medical problem, such as sinusitis, headache or sore throat, you can usually get an over-the-counter medicine instead of a prescription drug. And since Amazon sells drugs like Ibuprofen, Sudafed and DayQuil, you can ask Alexa to order for you. As long as you have Amazon Prime, you can use Prime Now to receive it the same day (if available in your area).
You need to enable voice order and 1-click order. Open the Alexa App> Menu > Settings > Account Settings > Language Purchase and turn off the purchase until you agree attitude. On the same screen, you can create a language code so only you can make purchases from Amazon with your echo.
When you're ready to make a purchase, say "Alexa, I want to buy ibuprofen." The drug will then be added to your Amazon cart and you'll have to say "Buy Now" to order it.
