To make room for the new Apple Arcade tab in the App Store, Apple had to make a difficult decision. Which tab has to go? Finally, the tab Updates got the boat. This does not mean that you can not update your apps anymore. It just means that the place where you update your apps has changed ̵

1; and that's not so obvious.

If you're the type who never updates your apps and is constantly alerted to a notification icon on the App Store icon, I can not help you unless you keep apps up-to-date to make sure they are the safest and provide the best possible performance.

Luckily, app updates are still easy to come by. You just have to know where to look on your shiny new iPhone 11 or a device with iOS 13 for that matter.
